BROKEN BONES
Dead And Gone
LP
Brand new studio release from these unstoppable UK veterans of metallic Punk/Hardcore fracturing jaws since 1983. The current line-up consists of Bones (former and current DISCHARGE guitarist), Tezz (DISCHARGE, BATTALION OF SAINTS, UK SUBS, THE VILE), Dave (who also plays in DISCHARGE) and JJ on vocals. Basically, this is today's DISCHARGE as JJ just took Rat's place! Back in the dbeat stoneage, Bones originally left Discharge to pursue a more metal direction, and he continues that path here with a well-focused fury. On these 4 new incendiary anthems, he throws down crusty thrash riffage over classic, mosh-friendly D-beat rhythms that barrel along with thunderous intent. As metallic as the music tends toward, JJs snarling, angry bark maintains the perfect crossover tension. This is some seriously devastating HC/Punk that pretty much schools every Dis band thats tried to emulate the style since the originals laid down the template. 4 years after their blistering full length "Fuck you and all you stand for" BROKEN BONES prove once again that they just get better (and more lethal) with age!!
