Graue Zellen from Rendsburg and Hamburg were THE German-speaking political hardcore artists in the 1990s. Punk band par excellence. In the same breath as But Alive, Muff Potter, Rantanplan, and Dackelblut call and omnipresent in the AZ`s occupy houses, clubs and punk sheds up country. 2001 was after hundreds of concerts, three albums, several singles, splits and sampler contributions shift in the shaft. The band had become more melodic in the years from classic political crust punk to hardcore (Post-) developed punk tones, but had always remained true in content. unequivocally political and the soundtrack to every autonomous Antifa demo. 2013 then completely surprising two concerts to the anniversary of the domestic T-Stube Rendsburg and the hope that it maybe something with the band. After that: nothing. Til today. Now official: Grauen Zellen are back, call In the future only cells will be available and will be back on the stages of the Republic from 2019. Because the anger is still there because you have something to say and these times damn need such a band damn. In keeping with this, the retrospective of the complete early phase, which has been prepared for years, appears: "Gegenrhythmus" unites the first two singles of the band "Hunger Nach Leben" (1990) and "Keiner weiß wohin" (1993), supplemented by songs of the wanted split LP with the Greek band ?a?t?a (Skuld Releases, 1994), various sampler material like the So much hate cover "Green Walls", "Ouf of step" (Minor Threat), "Automat" (Terveet KÀdet) and various unpublished songs the years 1989-1997. Parts of it later appeared in other versions on the second album "Nothing Stops". "Counter-rhythm" has just the spirit, the rage, energy and uncompromisingness that band has over all these years has distinguished. Nothing was set up here, everything is real and in the middle of the conflicts and struggles this time. All songs are completely remastered in the Demolition Room studio (Smoke Blow). Appears as a beautiful double LP in the Folded cover with poster inlay and download code, also digital.
