ATROFIA CEREBRAL
Fase Critica
LP
Peru 1989. Atrofia Cerebral forms and proceeds to unleash a slew of cassettes of pure, unadulterated noisecore nihilism. No riffs, no mid-tempo, nothing but blasting noise wrapped in the desperation and carnage of the human experience. By 1995, they had gracefully exited the stage... ...until their return in the 2010's, picking up right where they left off in their personal war on music. While their discography has expanded a bit with a consistent stream of splits, tapes, CDs, lathes, their style of no-frills bludgeoning noisecore brutality has remained untouched by time, as powerful and relevant as ever. But across this stream of releases, there hasn't been much in the way of vinyl output. A 7" and a split 7" with our crew Sete Star Sept, both in 2015, but otherwise this stuff has been limited mostly to small-run cassettes and lathes. And with this in mind, we are delighted to present Atrofia Cerebral's first proper full-length LP to the world. 54 tracks in 26 minutes, no fuckin music, nothing but noise. One more victory in the campaign for musical destruction. Not for the faint of heart.
