Founded in 1985 by Ille (vocals), Sven (bass) and Carsten (drums) and from Hamburg. The band began writing their own songs, but the band name was missing. Coincidentally, Oliver (joined the band soon) read the name of SLIME backwards and already had the name EMILS - so all the rumors Emils are Slime end here. In March 1987 appears the first demo which earned the band a deal with We Bite Records. In October they recorded their debut "Fight Together For..." in the Hildesheim Master Plan-studio. The Emils come with classic hardcore punk with a slight metal edge and german texts. Lyrically, they deal with topics like nazis, church, nuclear power, pseudos punks and what is crap and no one else really needs. 1998 the album was remastered and re-released with the 1987 demo included as bonus. Due to the re-release the band come back and played a few concerts until 2013, the year the decision was made to re-dissolve. Best Emils record for me and any time worth a listen.
