TRANSIENT rose out of the eclectic Northwest grindcore scene in Portland, Oregon in 2008 after two bands (MASSIVE MEAT SPLIT and LANDLORD) split and merged into one solid grindcore unit to be reckoned with. Combining elements of pure grindcore, death metal and an uncanny ability to create original musical havoc (something lost on most current grindcore bands), TRANSIENT started to get worldwide acclaim from constant touring and releasing a mess of vinyl records with bands like ELITIST (Relapse Records), SUPERBAD (Hellnear Records), THIS RUNS ON BLOOD (End Theory Records) and THE COMMUNION (Midnight Sea Records). Led by the insane screaming vocals of Krysta Martinez (also in LANDMINE MARATHON) and backed by the grinding fury of Jesse Shriebman (Drums), Stefan Thompson (Guitar) and Adam Wilson (Bass), this current line-up has solidified TRANSIENT as one of the leaders of modern grindcore in the United States, culminating in the release of this, their first full length recording. Recorded at Soundhouse Studios in Seattle by Brian Fitzsimons (WORMWOOD) and mastered at Earhammer Studios by Greg Wilkerson, and fleshed out with amazingly beautiful artwork by Portland artsist Ian Anderson this is definitely a quality firestorm of vicious, undeterred grindcore.
